Christmas Catch Up!!

I know, SUPER late, but here is our Christmas at last!  We had so much fun this year - we were able to spend Christmas Eve and part of Christmas Day in Idaho, and then we headed down to Utah to spend a few days at the cabin with the Summerhays clan.  It was actually pretty warm for St. Anthony on Christmas Eve and the kiddos all had a blast making snowmen with Cindy and Scott (better than their parents who were sitting INSIDE watching:), after a rousing tradition of Thurgood bowling.  We all had pretty amazing scores - I think it was my ball for sure!  Then we had an amazing Christmas Eve dinner at Troy and Heidi's house, which is always super yum and super fun!  The kids were super excited on Christmas morning to see their gifts had indeed made it to Grandma and Grandpa's house - we thought they would sleep in, but no such luck this year - they were up just before 7 ready to go..

When we made it to the cabin that night, we found out we were doing a family talent show, so Em, being the great entertainer that she is, organized the whole thing and it was fun to see the kids all doing something they liked and even the adults got in on it.  Also, Danny is a master sledding expert and has made an enormous sled run from the top of the driveway at the cabin, down the long hill and we had timed sled runs which were super fun.  We went bowling again, this time with the Summerhays fam and Spence did amazing, (no pic to prove, just trust me) and we had a Karaoke night - the kids LOVED that!  We also were able to take our family skiing up at Wolf Mountain and it was an....adventure to say the least.  First of all, I am not good at skiing - yet, I plan to, but I didn't do it much growing up and have only done it a handful of times since being married to mister skier, but I do like it and I want the kids to like it as well.  Anyway, we took all of them, even Grady and he loved it, but he needed constant help, so Spence was skiing backwards down the hill all day and I was helping - if you can call it that, Adri along.  Kendalyn has it down and Adri got pretty good only after a couple of runs.  So, it was fun, but maybe next time, no Grady:)

We came home to our "only lived in it two weeks before that" house and were happy to be there!  We had a great time and thanks to all who made it that way- we love you....

A WHOPPER of a Party!!

Okay, so I hate Whoppers - really, I haven't gone to B.King since I was in H.S. - there was a hair incident and I haven't dared again (Lori S., do you remember this?)!!  But the title of this blog couldn't be passed up!  Can you believe this cake??  My very talented sis-in-law makes amazing cakes and she did this for Kendalyn's 10th!!  We were all DYING!  DYING!!  Kendalyn happens to LOVE hamburgers, In-N-Out and Crown Burger are her favs, and so this was the perfect cake for her.  It looked so real and tasted even better.  Thanks to Heidi for a great suprise!!

We had the party up in Idaho over Thanksgiving weekend!  We ate Hawaiin Haystacks (a favorite of Kendalyn's and tolerated by most in attendance) - thanks for making them mom!!  We had cousins and aunts and uncles and a boyfriend of an aunt (bet you can't guess who's??)!!  It was a great party!

Cute Kendalyn is 10 - I can't really say that without getting weirded out!  Where has the time gone?  It really is amazing how beautiful and wonderful she has turned out!  She has become quite the great babysitter for us this last half of the year and we couldn't be happier - she loves earning the $ too.  Kendalyn can sing like ca-razy (she has started hearing the harmony part - woo-hoo for an ALTO) play the piano really well, loves horses and has learned how to ride and take care of them in her lessons, and she has recently stared loving basketball (that part is NOT from me:)!  I just love this girl and I'm so glad I get to have her around forever....  Happy BIRTHDAY Kendalyn!!!

It's Beginning to Look a lot like...

We're MOVING in!!!

I bet you thought I was going to say Christmas, but no - this is much, much better than Christmas!  Our house is just under 3 weeks from us occupying it and we are SO ready!!  They have the cabinets done except for one bathroom, and the counter tops will go in next week, along with the flooring and the surround tub/shower tile.  YAY!!!  It has been just over 6 months since they dug the hole and we are starting to go a little stir-crazy with all of the driving and close quarters, but really, it hasn't been bad at all.  We just really want to be living in the town that we are actually living in if you know what I mean.  School, dance, church, preschool, - pretty much everything is down there but us - so it will be nice to not drive to and from Centerville 4 times a day!

All I Want For Christmas Is My...

TWO FRONT TEETH!!

Don't mind the SUPER chapped lips here, it's quite pronounced in this pic:)

Yes, Miss Adri has a super great smile right now just in time for Christmas - I love it!! I told her that when she hears this song, she'll know it's about her!!

Halloweenie Shmeenie

Yay, it's over!!  Now we can get back to NORMAL and get ready for CHRISTMAS - woo hoo!!

Here are the little munchkins!  It was quite a soggy night here in Utah and Grady took about 3 spills which resulted in soggy M&M's, but overall - not a bad night!  He was right in there saying "Trick or Treat" really loud with a nice "Thank You" and sometimes I even heard a "Happy Halloween" - so cute!  We went to our new neighborhood and took a ward map around so we could actually see where the very few people we know, lived - I thought it was pretty productive of us:)
Visiting Great Grandma

Miss Ballerina - easiest costume we have ever had I think!!

He wanted an Alligator, but the Flying Dragon went over nicely!

Witchy Woman - I realized either this year or next would be Kendalyn's last time Trick or Treating - I totally remember being too old for it - weird...
