We had Adri's Preschool Graduation the other day and I can't believe she is going to a "real" school next year on a "real" bus! I am as excited as she is:) We have been going to Miss Pennie for the last year and 1/2 of Preschool and we LOVE her. Adri has LOVED going to school and every time they don't have it, we sort of have a meltdown around here. She wakes up ready to go everyday, so we are very sad it is over, but we definitely have some great memories. Bring on the Sweet Summer...

EEEWWW!!
Grady's broken arm/cast is starting to gross me out - BAD! He happens to like the dirt ALOT and I can't seem to keep him out of it! Every time he comes in the house we have the same routine of washing hands/feet and I hate that I can't wash his left hand. We have to use a wipe and just wipe it clean. We also have to use Q-tips to dig down under his cast and clean out between his fingers - it's SUPER fun! He has only had it on 1 1/2 weeks so far - 2 1/2 are still left. If it's completely gross now - what is it going to be like next week or when we go to take it off - GAG - I am trying not to think about it too much! I am not even going to post a picture because the cloth underneath the cast is actually turning black - yep, too gross for a picture I think. So, there is the update. He still is doing fine with it though - getting lots of attention and he now just points at it and says "doctor" when anyone asks him what happened - it is VERY CUTE...

BROKEN!!
Yes folks, Grady is our first official recipient of a broken bone in our family! Poor guy - he broke it on Friday at Barnes Park (when we pass it now, he says "cas"). The story goes like this: I was busy (literally for 2 minutes) putting away the blanket and chairs and I couldn't see around the corner of the playground slide where I knew Adri and Grady were playing. All of the sudden, I hear crying and I can tell it's my Grady, so I race over and there is Adri and Grady both lying on their backs in the bark underneath about a 4-foot ledge. I guess Adri wanted him to jump to her and she would "catch" him. I guess the "catch" part didn't really happen. I could tell his arm really hurt because he wouldn't move it AND he kept crying which really isn't like Grady. He normally cries for a minute and runs off like nothing has happened. Anyway, we came home and I called the doctor, but they were at lunch, so I put Grady down for a nap, because that was all he wanted. He woke up about an hour later, and my neighbor who is a nurse, came over and looked at it and thought it looked a little swollen. Just then, my doctor called and told us to come in. He got x-rays taken and was such a mellow guy about the whole thing. They then told us that he has a "Buckle Fracture" in his ulna and radius and that it is better than a snap. So, that's about it. He got his cute green cast on (we tried for red, but they were out) and he was fascinated the whole time. He's gotten tons of attention and is doing quite well at doing everything he normally does. He gets it off June 12th - but in the meantime we think it's pretty darn CUTE!!

fLoRiDa FuN
We had SUCH a great time visiting Spence's parents in Florida! Spence's brother Danny and his wife Em came too with their little boy Jack and it made it even more FUN!
We mostly played at the beach, went swimming in the BEAUTIFUL pool and played games.
We did go see the Blue Angel's practice their show one day and that was incredible! You sit on bleachers on the tarmac and there are volunteers that tell you exactly what is happening, if the "Boss" liked it or not, and how many inches apart the planes are - which at some points, is only 18 inches apart!! It was AMAZING and the kids LOVED it.
Grady didn't love the noise, but he LOVED the planes and seeing them so close was so cool.
After the show, we went to the Airplane Museum (exact name, I have no idea), and the kids got to sit in all of these old planes and helicopters and it was pure Heaven to Grady - he is now completely OBSESSED with planes or "manes" as he calls them.
We are so glad we got to go and have the kids get reacquainted with grandma and
grandpa again! Thanks mom and dad!!!!
***A Few Extras!!!
Playing with Grandpa in the Park.
Hmmm - can you imagine if these were actually REAL scissors?
Yep - that's my Grady boy trying to "cut" Jack's hair..
In the BIG tub!!
