Grady's REAL Birthday!
I already posted some pics of Grady celebrating his B-day, but that was 4 days before the actual day, so here is the REAL one! He celebrated at Preschool with a B-day crown and treats, he got to go to McDonald's for lunch (I found a chocolate drink that I LOVE there, maybe we will go more often now:), and then he got a B-day date with mom and dad at Firehouse Pizza, and then bowling with the fam! I can't believe he is 4 already! He is SUCH a crazy kid and he cracks us up constantly. We love our little man!!
Ice Skating
Grady got to take Ice Skating this year and although, not a real natural on the ice, he really got the hang of it after two sessions. He loved the end of the class free time, where he got to use a metal pusher to cruise around on the ice.
Easter
The day before Easter, we got to do a Ward Easter Egg Hunt with a yummy brunch, and then another egg hunt at G&G Summerhays house on Easter. We had dinner, then the dads hid the eggs and the kids scrambled. Too bad the weather was so stinky that weekend, it was still fun though! I forgot the "traditional" Sunday pic, but they looked cute, I promise!!
Yard Work
We started the whole landscaping thing at the end of March and with all of our "lovely" weather we had for 2 months, we finally finished the day before school got out - June 2nd!! It was just a bunch of mud for SO long and Spence and I were addicted to watching the weather every night to see if they could possibly come work ever. It's SO beautiful and I never thought I could love grass so much.
Grady LOVED when the workers came and they were really cute to him. It was SO funny though, because they spoke Spanish to each other and he had the funniest look on his face and he asked Spence what they were saying and Spence tried hard to explain the whole other language thing to Grady, but it still hasn't sunk in:) Grady started a "treasure" pile with his friend and I had to get a pic. When they finally took it away, he was pretty sad, but he was quite the good garbage pick up for awhile!! I will post the finished product after our 1st mow - it's just long and crazy right now!
Soccer
Grady and Adri did soccer this year and Adri LOVED it!! Grady thought it would be more fun to find sticks and pine cones and then throw them, maybe even at the other kids on the other team, but oh well!! Adri scored a few goals this year and was really good. She played on a coed team which I loved - I think it toughens them up a bit:)
Rendezvous
Kendalyn's 4th grade class got to do a 2-day mountain man rendezvous in May and it was SO much fun. They made leather purses, homemade ice-cream, archery, rain makers, panning for gold, pillows, and candle dipping - I got to be in charge of that one and it was a blast! I only managed to grab a video of their square dancing. They worked on it the whole year and they did really good. It was definitely not Kendalyn's favorite thing to do - unless her partner wasn't there and she got to dance with her friends instead, but she learned it really good. Seriously was taking FOREVER to load the video, so I didn't do it!
Sorry for the REALLY long post! More to come from our Mexico trip and finished yard....

I LOVE the idea of a box of cereal with the easter basket! That looks like a tradition we might have to copy!
We love your yard! You guys are such hard workers (good examples for us); we always feel like slackers when we leave your house and come to our home that we have to kick it into clean-up gear just to be able to fall asleep! Not kidding!
