1st Day 2012

All three got to be in the same school this year - so nice!!  Grady didn't start until a week later than the other two, but he got to go for a few hours the first day.  They all have really great teachers and are LOVING school!  I really am wondering what next year will bring with all 3 in school ALL day - yikes!!  I can't believe it came SO fast!!  

Spence's Birthday and the Big Race

Spence turned the big 35 this year - woo hoo - we are getting old!!  As always, we celebrated with coconut cupcakes and some coconutty ice cream - Spence does NOT love coconut at all:)

On Labor Day this year, Spence and Kendalyn did a sprint Triathlon.  Kendalyn did the kid one with her cousins and a friend and she did really well.  She got a side ache on her run, but the bike and swim went well for her - she wants to do it again!  Spence has done a few of the sprint tri's lately and he wants to do more full tri's as well.  I just love to see him in his tri uni really - hahaha!!

On the Boat..

We LOVE going on the boat as a fam!  Our favorite place is Pineview around here, but we would love to do Powell soon.  Our kids are more brave when they have friends/cousins with them, so we try to go with another family when we can.  We did a last excursion before school started in August with Bekah and Stephen and their kids!  Lots of fun and lots of laughs!!

Thurgood Family Fun

Every year my family has been lucky enough to be able to get together usually in August and it is ALWAYS a great time!  This year we all met at my house for a reunion on my mom's side in Utah and then all of us but Chad and Libia, headed up to Idaho.  My mom had done a TON of work and got a lot of food ready for us before we all got there and it was really quite easy.
Monday, my parents rented a giant water slide that adults could go on as well and we had a BLAST all day with it.  The kids thought it was the BEST thing ever and we even got Jean up on it (once)!!
Tuesday, we all went to Jackson Hole and spent the morning at Jenny's Lake and then went into town for lunch and rode the Apline Slide.  That night we all went to Troy and Heidi's and she made "Street Meat" (a New York favorite) and we also had italian soda's - so good!!
Wednesday, we started out with a Pancake Bar at Troy and Heidi's again and had a mean play off with Just Dance 3 on the Wii.  We also went to the Teton Flood Museum in Rexburg and it brought back a ton of memories from going there as a kid.
Thursday, we all went home.  Such a great time - thanks to mom and dad and Troy and Heidi for hosting the fun...
