CHRISTMAS

I really can't believe another year has come and gone - ca-razy!!  We had such a fun holiday..  We started off with a party at the Summerhays house while Boyd and Barj and Danny and Em were in town - chinese and pizza - yes, sounds gross, but it seems to suit both the adults and kids palates:)  Spence's parents made dvd's of our trip to W. Virginia this past summer and it was fun to watch it together.

Brenty boy was in town, so the next day we drove up to find a DRY Idaho!!  There was barely any snow on the ground and the roads were drive-able - meaning there weren't 2 foot ruts of ice covering them!!  We did our traditional Christmas bowling in St. Anthony at Targhee Lanes -  I know, it seems gross, but they have TOTALLY cleaned it up and it smells good and is really nice - yay for St. Anthony!!  They now have a movie theatre and a bowling alley - getting pretty crazy up there:)  

We played Ticket to Ride about 25 times - no, I am NOT kidding - we really like it!!  We also just hung out and it was really relaxed and fun.  We also looked at old pictures and I am still really mad at my mom for actually letting me out of the house looking like I did, but I'm getting over it slowly..  

We did our fun Christmas Eve dinner and Troy and Heidi's and it was SO much fun!  The kids had planned out a program by themselves and printed it up.  They each played the piano and Sara played the violin as well.  We sang christmas carols for awhile after the program as well.  We TOTALLY missed Cindy this year - she was working!!

Anyway, lots of fun - I LOVE Christmas time!!

I LOVE my new wall art!!
So I have this wall behind my kitchen table that has been bare since we moved in - over a YEAR ago - and it has been bugging me like crazy.  I knew that I wanted some color, but I just couldn't find anything that I loved.  Then, I found this site http://sprik.blogspot.com/ and I found what I wanted.  You can find it on the left side at the bottom on her blog search called "pattern pieces".  She does designs and then makes them into free downloads which you can either print yourself or send to a printer (Costco) to do it!!  I had them done in 12x12 and I love them!!  She has a TON of different patterns so you can really do anything.  I have to admit that I found this site a LONG time ago and only in the last week did I really do anything about it.  Now that Spence hung them PERFECTLY, I have no idea why I waited SO long. Just thought I would share...

Kendawendalyn!!!

11!!!  I can't believe I have an 11 year old!  I might just stay shocked all year:)  What a SWEET, SMART, FUN, and LOVING person this girl is!  She has become a great babysitter (which Spence and I completely LOVE) and is getting more and more responsible - I love watching her grow up.  However, it's also sad to think just how grown up she is.  I love you Kendalyn - Happy BIRTHDAY - (very belated that is:)!!!

The Orange Holiday....

This Holiday is just weird to me, but I go along with it because my kids like it right now.  I say right now, because I seemed to like it enough when I was younger, but all of my siblings dislike it as well now and we think it is because of our mom not liking it.  I know I seem so scroogy, but I just can't fake it!
Kendalyn went with her friend and they were Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.  Adri also went with a friend and she was some sort of Queen.  That left just Grady and Spence walking around our neighborhood and his costume is really self-explanitory.  Star Wars is currently his FAVORITE movie ever!  Anyway, the kids liked it and I liked a lot of their candy:)  Thanks goodness we have another year before it comes again...

Family PICTURES!

We finally got family pics done this year after skipping the whole process last year - Spence was disappointed that I remembered to actually do it - he hates to get pictures done!!  Anyway, my cousin Curtis and his wife Amanda take photos and they are really good at it.  She set us up for the different poses and Curtis shot away.  It ended up being SUPER cold the morning we were able to do it and we were all pretty frozen, so it wasn't ideal, but the pics turned out great.  I am however, regretting my choice for Grady - that shirt was a good idea in my mind, but it ended up not looking too great in a photo - oh well!!  That can be changed next year.  Thanks Curtis and Amanda for doing these and making us look good:)
