Ta - Da
Out with that dirt/mud and in with the grass!! Here is the finished product of the 3-4 month long rained- us- out process. I am LOVING the fire pit. It is gas, so we don't get that nasty (I know some people love it (CINDY!!!)) campfire smell every time we want to roast some marshmallows!! I am also LOVING the shade we have! We didn't have ANY in our backyard in our last house, so we are totally taking advantage of sitting outside in the evenings. I've had these pics forever - sorry it took so long to actually sit down and blog about them:)

Adri Stuff!!
So, my Adri is quite the little crafter, colorer, and artist. She just has always been that way. Although she is more of a tomboy than Kendalyn, she can still sit for hours with crayons and paper and be great, and the other two just can't be bothered with that. Since school has been out, she has started doing the melty beads like CRAZY!! I think she has made about 35 or so - and these things take up to an hour for some of them - nuts!! I have been ironing them all, with some complaining at times:), but we thought we would take a picture of the few we had at the time - they are really cute!! Good job Adri!!

Puerto Vallarta
We just seem to love these all-inclusive resorts so much that we keep going back for more! We have done Cancun twice and this year we decided to do Puerto Vallarta ( I finally know how to spell it:)!! We went with our good friends the Glines, and had a great time. Mostly we just relaxed and drank cold drink (sin alcohol) after cold drink. It was so beautiful and the ocean temperature was the warmest I have ever felt. I could have been in there for hours if I wasn't so freaked out by little crabs and baby mantarae's(spelling?) that we kept seeing so close to shore. Spence and Rick did a lot of body surfing, which I did once (liked it, but serious sand was in serious places), Rosemary was out for quite awhile one day and another day for a bit too, and they also went on a two-tank dive while Rosemary and I got facials - a great idea! Such a funny thing that happened, was that the resort somehow thought Spence and I were on our honeymoon, so we had a Honeymooners banner across our door the whole time, and some chocolates and champagne with the bathtub filled with bubbles when we got there. SO funny, but we totally went with it!
We had entertainment nightly, and sometimes it was super weird, but we always watched it anyway. We also took a bike tour and that was a fun way to see what was surrounding our resort. We went to a spot to see dolphins swimming in a tank and they were literally 5 feet away from us.
The one thing I did right this year was to get my legs waxed right before we went. I have never waxed my legs, but I have done "other" areas and loved the results. So I grew my sick hair out for about a week, and went for it. It hurt a bit, but it wasn't too bad at all. Plus, it has been 4 weeks and I am still barely shaving - SO FANTASTIC!! Anyway, that's my little tip for anyone going on a bathing suit vacation - it was heaven not to shave for a week!

Just a few MONTHS in review...
I have been SUCH a slacker! I totally enjoy reading blogs, but any actual blogging of my own has been totally put on the back burner - sorry CIND!!! So, I'm just going to play catch-up since April - it really hasn't been THAT exciting around here, we didn't even take ANY photos in the month of May - lame! Enjoy and be prepared to scroll....
Grady's REAL Birthday!
I already posted some pics of Grady celebrating his B-day, but that was 4 days before the actual day, so here is the REAL one! He celebrated at Preschool with a B-day crown and treats, he got to go to McDonald's for lunch (I found a chocolate drink that I LOVE there, maybe we will go more often now:), and then he got a B-day date with mom and dad at Firehouse Pizza, and then bowling with the fam! I can't believe he is 4 already! He is SUCH a crazy kid and he cracks us up constantly. We love our little man!!
Ice Skating
Grady got to take Ice Skating this year and although, not a real natural on the ice, he really got the hang of it after two sessions. He loved the end of the class free time, where he got to use a metal pusher to cruise around on the ice.
Easter
The day before Easter, we got to do a Ward Easter Egg Hunt with a yummy brunch, and then another egg hunt at G&G Summerhays house on Easter. We had dinner, then the dads hid the eggs and the kids scrambled. Too bad the weather was so stinky that weekend, it was still fun though! I forgot the "traditional" Sunday pic, but they looked cute, I promise!!
Yard Work
We started the whole landscaping thing at the end of March and with all of our "lovely" weather we had for 2 months, we finally finished the day before school got out - June 2nd!! It was just a bunch of mud for SO long and Spence and I were addicted to watching the weather every night to see if they could possibly come work ever. It's SO beautiful and I never thought I could love grass so much.
Grady LOVED when the workers came and they were really cute to him. It was SO funny though, because they spoke Spanish to each other and he had the funniest look on his face and he asked Spence what they were saying and Spence tried hard to explain the whole other language thing to Grady, but it still hasn't sunk in:) Grady started a "treasure" pile with his friend and I had to get a pic. When they finally took it away, he was pretty sad, but he was quite the good garbage pick up for awhile!! I will post the finished product after our 1st mow - it's just long and crazy right now!
Soccer
Grady and Adri did soccer this year and Adri LOVED it!! Grady thought it would be more fun to find sticks and pine cones and then throw them, maybe even at the other kids on the other team, but oh well!! Adri scored a few goals this year and was really good. She played on a coed team which I loved - I think it toughens them up a bit:)

Rendezvous
Kendalyn's 4th grade class got to do a 2-day mountain man rendezvous in May and it was SO much fun. They made leather purses, homemade ice-cream, archery, rain makers, panning for gold, pillows, and candle dipping - I got to be in charge of that one and it was a blast! I only managed to grab a video of their square dancing. They worked on it the whole year and they did really good. It was definitely not Kendalyn's favorite thing to do - unless her partner wasn't there and she got to dance with her friends instead, but she learned it really good. Seriously was taking FOREVER to load the video, so I didn't do it!
Sorry for the REALLY long post! More to come from our Mexico trip and finished yard....
