You Are Ariel!

Headstrong and fiesty. You have a mind of your own that's full of romantic dreams about the world around you. Exploring exotic places is your ultimate dream, and although you can be a little naive you'll realize that there is something to be gained from your family's wisdom.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

Sara, thanks for the post, this is funny. I took this quiz and I think I agree with it. I have always liked Ariel the best, and she does seem fun right? Pretty fun - go try it out...

Who Likes the Dentist?

Adri's first trip to the Dentist was a bit overdue, but we finally made it in. She was not about to go back to the room and definitely not sitting on that chair at first, but somehow, after that "magic" chair moved up and down, we were able to convince her that it might actually be fun. Well, I think the pictures say it all - she loved it. That night when I was tucking her in bed she asked me if we could go back to that fun place again - I said yes!!!

Kendalyn has had a dangling front tooth hanging for awhile and she would not let me have a tug at it, so she asked the Dentist to just pull it out and he did. Amazing that everyone besides Spence and I can talk her into letting them pull it out (she also had her Primary teacher pull one out - thanks Cameron:) - she looks pretty cute though...

A Little Memory...

So, I bet you can't guess who our photographer was??? Well, I will give you a hint, she just lost one of her front teeth and is currently 7 and in the 1st Grade!!! If you guessed Kendalyn you are right! What an eye...
We decided to take the kids up to the Bountiful Temple to look at the flowers for Mother's Day, and also because it was our anniversary this week, so we told them a little about the day we got married. I told them that we met through my cousin Todd, and Kendalyn said it was good that Todd and dad were friends or we would never have met - hmm I guess she's right - so here is a little shout-out to Todd- THANKS- we couldn't have done it without you! It was a fun little outing and we got some great pics. By the way, happy Anniversary Spence - I love you tons!!!

The flowers were so beautiful and it just reminded me of our wedding day - oh the memories...

Grady loved the fountain - I think he thought it was a hot tub:)

Freckles

Okay, so enough blogging for one day, but you have to listen to the first song on my playlist - it is called Freckles by Natasha Bedingfield (currently my new fav. artist)!!! This is my favorite song right now, not just because it is great tunes, but also because of the message - love it!!!

Tag- Oh the memories!!!

20 years ago:

I was 9 and way into Barbies and Barbie Paper Dolls(remember those?). This was the year I got my Barbie Ferrari Car and I loved it. I was such a cool kid with that car, the hot tub, the bike, the daybed, and the mortorcycle ( I know, I was a little obsessed) but I still didn't have the mansion - and yes Amanda, I think it did have an elevator:)

10 Years Ago:
Into my freshman year at then Rick's College and loving it. I lived at Birch Plaza and had roommates from all over. I think I had barely started working at my favorite job "Zippy Ship'n Copy" and I loved it.

5 Years Ago:
We were living in L.A. and Spence was finishing up his Master's Degree in Real Estate at the great school USC. We were almost done building our first house and getting ready to move back to Utah. We had such a fun time in L.A. and made great friends and visited Disneyland more times than I can remember - such a great time!!!

3 Years Ago:

Well, I was in the best shape I had been in years and loving it:) We were still living in Kaysville in this same house. My sister Cindy was living with us, which was so much fun, and I was just put into Young Women's and I loved it. My girls were pretty small and it seemed like such an easy time in life - it's harder for me to remember 3 years ago than 10!!!

1 Year Ago:

This seems like yesterday, but Grady was born and at this time, was only over 1 week old. I remember my mom staying with my girls and I for a week and we loved it. I had great friends come over with frozen dinners, and fun outfits for Grady - I can't believe it has already been 1 year ago!!!

So Far this year:

I have had a great year - no big sicknesses with the kids, got a great calling in the primary with the CTR-5 class, and Grady turned 1! Yes, there have been many other things, but really I have enjoyed this year so far.

Yesterday:
We had church and luckily I just got to sit there, while my friend Kelli taught those squirmy little 4 year olds(really they were very good yesterday, it was last week that they were completely crazy)!!! My sister Cindy came up to hang out and we had such a great time and the kids were so happy to see her.

Today:
I have babysat, vaccumed(while Grady and Adri roamed the house and made more messes and actually tipped over Kendalyn's night stand - ugh), done laundry - two loads, and I have currently been on the computer for about 3 hours (not just doing this, but yes, I have been blogging for awhile trying to figure stuff out:) We are also going to clean the church tonight - fun...

Tomorrow:
Probably most of the same as above, but I will not make time for the computer and Adri will have preschool - yea!!!

This Year:
We are getting excited to go to Florida during the summer to visit Spencer's parents. It should be pretty interesting to take Grady on a 6 hour flight, but who knows, maybe he will be an angel and sleep the whole time! I am also just looking forward to this summer and swimming and just letting the kids play and have fun. Life is good and I am loving it!!!

Your turn - I tag Sara G., Kelli, Amber, Natalie, Jenny, Tammi, Brooke, Holly, Julie R., Heidi, Kristen, Lori and anyone else who reads my blog - have fun!!!

Grady Boy!!!

I am not sure why we added the "boy" onto Grady, but it has now become his name and we love it. He is starting to walk and loves it. We love having him walk to each of us and then clapping and shouting so much that he falls - oh well:) I just thought I would share this video of him "sort-of" walking - it's pretty cute!!!

Does the Easter Bunny Exist???

This year Easter came so fast, but I was more prepared than I ever have been before (I know - crazy)!!! I had everything bought and ready to be put out and the egg coloring had been in the pantry for weeks - so I was pretty proud of myself. That is, until Kendalyn came up to me and proudly announced that she thought I was the Easter Bunny! At first I acted like I didn't know what she was talking about, but then, I could tell that she wanted the truth - so just like that, the Easter Bunny is "no more" for Kendalyn. She really was good about making it fun for Adri though. I had to laugh each time she would say "oh, look what the Bunny gave us Adri", and then she would give me a smile and mouth "thank you". I guess she really is growing up:)

The "Easter Bunny" found these cute plates that you can decorate and actually use - cute!

Is it Spring yet?

Kendalyn and Grady

Adri on Skates

Grady Boy

It really felt like Spring yesterday and still does today - but I am guessing it just won't last. I don't think I have ever been more ready for spring and summer to come. I just hope Grady can walk in a few weeks so that he and I can actually enjoy being outside without the neighbor's wagon. Kendalyn loves being an older sister and is honestly such a big help to me. She will take Grady on walks around the neighborhood, and (if she is not staring at Sponge Bob on T.V.) she will play with his toys with him, he loves it and so do I. Adri is trying to figure out the whole skating thing. She does pretty good and is not afraid of falling at all, which is good because when I watch her, that is basically what she does the entire time:) Hopefully it is only a few weeks away when we will be doing this everyday. Until then, we will enjoy days like these.

Tag, I'm it...

So, I have recently been tagged by my cousin (well my cousin's wife but I think cousin) Randee, and so now you will have to read things about me that I would probably not otherwise write on a post.

The rules are, each player must post 6 facts/habits about themselves. At the end of the post, the player tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Here goes:

1. I am completely obsessed with smells. I don't like cooking mostly because of the smell and the fact that it will still smell like that two hours after eating. I really don't like my house to smell like anything but a yummy scent. Now, those scents can and do include laundry degertent (only Tide and Bounce sheets), a febreeze spray or ten which Spence hates (only Clean Linen), and pretty much any candle or scentzy scent (I am way into those:)

2. I (like Randee, and Melissa too) love Access Hollywood and US Weekly. I know, it is a really ridiculous habit, but I really can't help it. I actually Tivo Access Hollywood every night and watch it - I forward through most of it, but I really, really like it. I also look forward to every Friday when the next US issue comes - what fun!!!

3. I love the Cadbury Mini Eggs in the purple package. You know those pastel ones with the hard shell and the amazingly creamy chocolate inside - you want one now right? I bought a huge pack at Sam's Club today and it will probably be gone in less than a week - (one of my many chocolate weaknessess)!!!

4. I go to Target faithfully at least once a week, but usually twice. Now, I don't always buy, but I really do love a place where you can walk around and look at tons of stuff with your kids contained in a nice little cart. I am not a huge Walmart fan, so this is usually where I buy litterally EVERYTHING. Spence showed me how much I spent in a year there, and I was shocked - I think he might have been too:)

5. I have become an internet HOME shopper and I mean homes. I go to Utah Real Estate and look at homes in lots of different cities, but usually only Davis County and I love it. My friend is always asking me what different homes are priced at, and I can usually tell her - it is really weird, but I love looking at what you can get for the money, and here in Utah, it is not much!

6. I read constantly. I love it. I love reading romantic comedies and other stuff like that. I usually like to read about books that take place in NYC - because they are usually hillarious. I also love Irish and British authors. I read about 2 books a week, but would love to do more. I am now able to go to the library and pick out, within 15 minutes, 6 books to read just by looking at the cover, and they are usually quite good.

Wow, I am glad that is over! You all probably think I am crazy - now it is your turn!

Seussical the Musical

Kendalyn is in a Musical Productions class and it is the Cutest thing! They have done Wizard of Oz, Annie and this year Seussical! She absolutely loves doing this and I have to say that she is kind of a natural on stage. She is dressed up like a Hoo. The next one they are doing is called A Disney Spectacular, and they get to dress up like Disney characters - fun.

Piano Recital

We have THE BEST piano teacher ever! She is actually in our ward and one of the sweetest, kindest ladies you have ever met! My girls LOVE go...
